Custom Quilting at the Studio!
Here are some close up pictures of a wall hanging I completed for a customer at Sparrow Studioz. I try to incorporate some of the designs in the fabric or quilt into the quilting design. This quilt had little hexagons on an area of the quilt so I spread some throughout the background with Glide variegated thread. (I love Glide for the sheen and beautiful stitches I get from when using the thread.)
Here are those little hexagons in the fabric design.
This is such a lovely Oriental print, don't you think?
Here is the start of the borders, I repeated the hexagon shape, with a lotus flower on the inside.
Here is the finished border, not sure why the colours in the picture turned!
